Happy Ram Navmi....

Ram Navami  is a Hindu festival, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. Ram is the 7th incarnation of the Dashavatara of Vishnu. The Rama Navami festival falls in the Shukla Paksha on the Navami, the ninth day of the month of Chaitra in the Hindu calendar. Thus it is also known as Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, and marks the end of the nine-day Chaitra-Navratri celebrations. Rama navami is one of the most important festivals of the Hindus, particularly the Vaishnava sect of the Hindus.

In the epic Ramayana, Dasharatha, the Emperor from Ayodhya, had three wives named Kausalya, Sumitra and Kaikeyi in the Treta Yuga, which follows the Satya Yuga and is succeeded by Dwapara Yuga. Their greatest worry was that they had no children, and so they had no heir to the throne in the Ikshvaku Kula or royal lineage of great, pious, wonderful Emperors. Rishi Vasistha suggests him to perform Puthra Kamesti Yagna, through which he can have a desired child. He also tells him to invite Maharshi Rishyasringa to perform this yagna for him. Emperor Dasharatha consents and heads to Maharshi Rishyasringa's ashram, to invite him. Maharshi agrees and accompanies Emperor Dasharatha to Ayodhya (Capital of Avadha) and performs the yagna. As the result of this yagna, Yagneshwara appears and provides Dasharatha a bowl of divine pudding (Kheer/Payasam) and requests him to give it to his wives. Dasharatha gives one half of the payasam to his elder wife Kausalya, and another half to his younger wife Kaikeyi. They both give half of their portions to Sumitra. After few days all three Queens conceive. On the ninth day (Navami) of Chaithra Masa (first month in Vedic calendar), at noon Kausalya gives birth to Rama, Kaikeyi gives birth to Bharata, and Sumitra to twin boys, Lakshmana and Shatrughna.

Rama is the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, who takes birth by His own will, on Bhuloka (Earth) when Adharma rules over Dharma. He protects all his devotees by vanquishing the roots of Adharma. Rama decided to incarnate to destroy an Asura or person with demonic and evil designs, called Ravana.

~Swami Ramdas

Mind : A non-physical phenomenon which perceives, thinks, recognises, experiences and reacts to the environment. A relational and embodied process that regulates the flow of energy and information in our bodies. Described as having two main aspects: clarity and knowing; meaning that the mind is clear, formless and allows for objects to arise in it, and that the mind is knowing, an awareness, a consciousness which can engage with objects. It is a private sphere to which no one but the owner has access. They can only interpret what we consciously or unconsciously communicate.

Even if the whole sky were used as a paper and all the waters of the Universe were used as ink, it would just not suffice to pen down the glories of Rama Nama...!
~Sri Sri Muralidhara

Universe : All the matter and enrgies that exist in space and time. It is the cosmos, the creation, everything as a whole. Believed to be at least 10 billion light years in diameter, it is home to many a galaxy. The uiverse has been ever expanding since its creation in the Big Bang about 13 billion years ago. RAM :Seventh avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism and king of Ayodhya in Hindu scriptures. Believed to have lived in Treta Yuga, he is referred to as Maryada Purushottama, literally the Perfect/Ideal Man or Lord of Virtue. His life's journey is a perfect adherence to dharma despite harsh tests of life and time such as 14 years in exile and test of fire of his wife, Sita. Slayed Ravana and careted a perfect kingdom known as RamRajya.

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the son; if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.
~John

Rama Nama should come from the heart. ….by cultivating virtues of truth, honesty and purity, within and without.
~M K Gandhi

Heart : A symbol to refer to spiritual, emotional, moral, and in the past, also intellectual core of a human being. Seat of the human soul. This shape is typically coloured red, suggesting both blood and, in many cultures, passion and strong emotion. In some schools, notably Kashmiri Shaivism, the word hridaya applies also to the ultimate Reality.

The world of sants has been very unique. In order to tell the facts of eternal truth (param satya) to the world; the sants have used the common man’s language. Sants have also used ‘Ram’ or ‘Hari’ in different places in their discourses. However by Ram they have meant ‘Sahibji’ (the Supreme Lord) and none else. Therefore do not get confused. Kabir Sahib has clarified this fact by talking about four different ‘Rams’.
Saakar Ram Dashrath ka beta, Nirakar ghat ghat mein leta.
Bindu Ram jin jagat pasaara, Niraalamb Ram Sahib te Nyara.
The Sants have said-
First Ram: Son of Darasath [whose story is mentioned in Ramayan and Ramcharitmanas.
Second Ram: who is described as the formless lord (Nirakar Niranjan), etc.
Third Ram: Is the form of sperm, which is the basis of offsprings.
Fourth Ram: Niralamb Ram who is Parampurush. of Amarlok who sends Satguru.
No individual soul (our own true-self) can attain permanent liberation from the endless cycle of birth and death i.e., can never liberate from the entrapment of Mind (Kaal Niranjan) without getting blessed with alive Holy-Name (Sanjeevan Naam) by a true living Satguru (Perfect Spiritual Master)
“Koti Janam Ka Path Tha,Guru Pal Mein Diya Pahunchaye”
Within a moment the Satguru enables you to cover the path of ages together. This alive holy name of the Satguru enables the disciple to achieve permanent salvation, this is not an ordinary kind of Holy name. The worldly people think they can achieve salvation through any mode of worship or by reciting any holy Naam but this is not true.
NAAM IN SAGUN BHAKTHI- Yog Matt –Path of action.

2) Leela Naam: This is called leela (sport) of Avatars.
3) Guna Naam: This attitude is spoken of as guna (attributes ,characteristics )
NAAM IN NIRGUN BHAKTI : Yog Matt

Alak niranjan, omkar, soham, sat and rrankaar these Naam jab are created by Kal Niranjan. these Naam jab earns Siddhis and merits to enjoy in heavens for a fixed time. Rebirth cannot be avoided.
Stul and Sukshma Yogas are limited upto the level of Mind only. With these, one cannot transcend the worldly existence, which is the creation of Mind itself (Mano Moolam Idam Jagatu).
“Rishi Muni Tridev Adi Ley, Panch Shabd Mey Atkey|
Mudra Sadh Rahe Gatt Bhitar, Phir Ondey Muh Latkey||”
SATYA NAAM IN SATHYA BHAKTHI: Sant Matt-Path of Sants:
Kabir Sahib says- Naam Bin Hridya Shudh Na Ho|Kotin Bhanti Kare Jo Koi||
Satguru is the perfect Spiritual master available in this mortal world, who has the “Paras Surati” with which he can give Sanjivan-Satya Naam and transform any human being on earth alike himself and individual soul permanently from the entrapment of Maya and Mind (Permanent libration from the endless circle of birth and death) with his own spiritual powers.
“Jap marey ajapa marey, anhad bhi mer jaye.Surti samani shabad mein, usko kal na khaye”.
He who recites Naam with mouth or inwardly or fixes his concentration at musical sounds, will ultimately be devoured by Niranjan. But he who fixes his concentration at soundless sound-Satya Naam will escape from the grip of Kal. Sar shabad satt purush kahaya. This true Naam is the ‘Sar Shabad’ (Sahib Himself). Therefore “Kaha na jahi, likha na jayi. Bin Satguru koyi nahin payi”.The holy saints clearly say that the true Naam can neither be spoken nor reduced to writing. None can know of it without a Satguru. “Paras Sruthi Sant Ke Paasa”
Paras Mein Aru Sant Mein,Tu Bado Antro Jan|Veh Loha Kanchan Kare,Veh Karle Aap Saman||
Unlike Paras which changes Iron in to Gold, Satguru transfers his qualities, habits, powers along with other things in a moment of time. He does this work in a moment with Naam Diksha.
